Maycee and Kendall
Hello! We're Kendall & Maycee!
We want to begin by expressing our deepest gratitude for considering us as possible adoptive parents for your child. We cannot begin to understand the magnitude of the decision you're facing, but we have immense respect for the thoughtfulness and love that goes into choosing what is best for your child.
How can we express how crucial you are to our story and our lives? We imagine we all find ourselves grappling with feelings of overwhelm and fear, questioning where God fits into this journey. We wonder if we'll ever have the chance to become parents, while you face the incredibly difficult choice of possibly finding another family to play a meaningful and sacred role in your child's life.
We promise always to celebrate the selfless sacrifice that you made to make our family whole. We promise to teach your child about adoption and explain that it was love that brought them to us. Just like our nephews celebrate their adoption day every year, we would continue that tradition so your child would grow up to be proud of their story and be reminded all over again just how very loved they are.
We recognize that this is an incredibly personal and emotional decision, and we want you to feel supported and confident in making the choice that feels best for you and your child. We want to walk with you and support you. We have been praying for you already and we promise to always pray for you.
Our Story
Before we officially met, Kendall was playing college basketball, and Maycee was competing on the track and field team. We initially hung out in groups, but over time, we ended up spending more time just the two of us (sorry, friends!). Kendall is a physical therapist, and Maycee is a surgeon—so between the two of us, we can take care of a lot! We also have a 10-year-old Airedale terrier named Bandit, who's a people-loving, dog-friendly, kid-approved ball of joy who always seems to be smiling. Kendall is hard-working, goofy, loyal, and a great friend. Maycee is kind, funny, and incredibly thoughtful. We both love staying active, socializing, and are always open to new adventures!
We've been married now for 12 years and we feel like we've experienced almost everything in our life together so far!
We've had times living in small houses and apartments, careful of every dollar we spent, to living comfortably with room to spare in our home. We have taken on several home renovations, caretaking of elderly relatives, medical school, and residency together. We've gone through hard things over the years with the loss of Kendall's mother and struggling with infertility. All of these experiences have made us stronger. Through all of these circumstances, we've known it's the two of us facing these challenges together. It has made all the difference and only solidified the fact that we are better together.
Home and Family
We live in the Pacific Northwest and love this area.
The weather is mild all year round and there are so many opportunities for outdoor recreation. We are close friends with a family that lives on the river and frequently enjoy splashing around or paddleboarding at their house. There is a college in town with frequent sporting events and music and theater productions. There is a great local library and plenty of areas for safe outdoor adventures. We have a lot of cuisine diversity and live within reasonable driving distance of even larger metropolitan areas. It's a great place to raise a family!
We love to travel but we also love to explore the city we live in. We've traveled to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Hawaii, Spain, and Norway and have also taken numerous road trips, visiting family and exploring new places around the country. We have been known to do long road trips spur of the moment, and these are some of our favorite memories.
In our free time, we are regularly finding new walking and hiking spots, checking out new restaurants and bakeries, and finding opportunities to be near the ocean or a lake. Our dog typically is along for the ride wherever we go too! We love to relax at the end of the day and watch a funny TV show or movie together on the couch, or sit in our hot tub and talk about life and the future.
We are very close with Maycee's family and frequently plan trips to get together. We have 4 nephews and 1 niece. We love dressing up for Halloween, decorating for Christmas, watching holiday movies, baking and we love to have a big family and friends dinner for Thanksgiving.

If given the opportunity, we would approach parenthood with the utmost care, love, and dedication. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive home where your child would be cherished, learn about Jesus, and given every opportunity to grow and thrive. We would ensure they know how much love surrounds them, both from us and from you, and would honor whatever level of openness or communication feels right for you.
We recently came across a quote which simply said “Sometimes you need to be reminded that it's okay to say ‘This is hard and God is able.”We hope you remember your feelings are always valid and through the ups and downs and we pray you will find comfort and peace that God can take any situation and bring about good. He is able, more than able, to create beauty from pain and heal broken hearts. God can bring families together in unexpected ways and we pray you find a family that gives you peace.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and considering us during this journey. Please know that no matter what, we have the greatest admiration for your strength and love.
