Hello! We are Leah and Christopher

We are a loving couple from Michigan who are excited to become first time parents. We hold deep values centered around family, faith, and empathy for others. We find joy in simple moments such as cooking together and walking around our neighborhood. Leah is a School Accountant, while Christopher works primarily from home as a Lead Engineering Specialist, and both of our professions allow for flexibility and support for a growing family.

Our Story

We met on an online dating website and then in person shortly afterward in Leah’s hometown.  We were quickly attracted to each other because of our shared values. We dated for one year before Christopher proposed on beautiful Mackinac Island. Our engagement lasted about a year, and we married on July 27th. We recently celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary.

We love spending time together by cooking dinner, taking walks around our neighborhood, going to Sunday mass, vacationing in Mackinac Island, and trying out new dinner restaurants, mainly Mexican or Italian.

Leah’s brother participates in Special Olympic sports year-round, and we try to attend as many of his games as possible. We also enjoy going on trips a few times a year. Leah likes to decorate our home for each season and hosts family barbecues in the summer. We usually stay in during winter, watching TV shows (our favorites are Schitt’s Creek or Modern Family!), and trying out new recipes.

Home and Family

We have a Border Collie named Ace, who is energetic yet gentle, caring, and loves to follow us around the house. He is always smiling and wagging his tail. He loves belly rubs, squeaky toys, and snow.

We have some special family traditions. We have pizza on Fridays and during the summer, we enjoy walking to a nearby ice cream parlor. We love spending time with extended family. Some of the things we enjoy doing with the family are playing card games, board games and a lot of silly games outside. We also enjoy going out to eat at new restaurants.

Some of our holiday traditions include St. Nicholas Day before Christmas, holiday meals with the whole family, Easter egg hunts and bingo on Thanksgiving.

• Hobbies: making rosaries, listening to Christian and Country music, bonfires, walking to get ice cream

• Food: Desserts ( I have a sweet tooth!)

• I also love all things Harry Potter (I'm a Hufflepuff!)
