Kathleen and Vince

Hi! We’re Kathleen and Vince, and this is our daughter, Vivian!

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this incredibly personal and profound moment in your life. We are truly grateful and honored that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your child.

We cannot begin to imagine the depth of the decision you are facing. Considering adoption is an act of selflessness and bravery and we are in awe of the courage you are showing as you explore the best future for your child. No matter what path you ultimately choose, we want you to know that you are seen, valued, and respected. We believe in your strength, even if you may not always feel it.

We are deeply grateful for the chance to share a glimpse of our family with you. We hope you see how much love we have for one another and how much we cherish the opportunity to share that love with your child.

About Us

We are an energetic and affectionate family who value honesty, kindness, and joy. We laugh together, support each other, and embrace life with a sense of fun and silliness.

We met and married later in life when we became next-door neighbors, then running partners, and eventually a couple. In 2020, four years after we were married, we discovered that we were pregnant and brought Vivian into this world. She is four years old now and has a kind, bright, open soul and with a silly personality that brings so much joy into our lives. We feel so proud and fortunate to witness her growing into a smart, beautiful, sweet child who shares her laughs and her loving heart with everyone she meets.

Vince has a degree in civil engineering and is a project manager in commercial construction. Kathleen has a Masters degree in International Affairs and is an Assistant City Manager in the community we live in. We enjoy traveling the world and experiencing different cultures. When we travel, we try to immerse ourselves in the culture by going to local hangouts, trying the locals' favorite restaurants, and asking what they like to do for fun. We enjoy fitness and making it a full, family event. Whether it’s taking family hikes, playing sports in the yard, cheering on one another at races, or organizing friendly fitness challenges, we make it fun. We love turning the music up loud, dancing in the living room, laughing together, & exploring the world around us.

Home sweet home!

Our town is about a 15-minute drive to the nearest beach access, with parks full of sand dunes, trails through a wetland, and family-friendly events almost every weekend.

We moved into our newly built home in 2020, just a few months before Vivian was born. It has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and we’ve decorated it in a way that feels elegant but casual enough for anyone to feel welcome to relax, kick off their shoes, and cozy up on the couch. Everyone's favorite thing in the house is the custom, 2-story, playhouse that Vince built in the mini-hallway next to the playroom.

We have three dogs - Ellie, Dolly, and Lady Bird - who are all named after former First Ladies of the United States. Lady Bird is a 14-year old, 5-pound, Chihuahua and a total diva dog. Ellie is a 6-year-old, 75-pound, American Staffordshire Terrier (pitbull). She is our most patient dog and lets our daughter put bracelets around her paws and sit on her back like a pony. Dolly is our 35-pound, 4-year-old, mixed breed pup and the “baby” of the family. She is very gentle but protective of our family and our house, always alerting us to people walking by and chasing away any "big bad" birds that happen to land in our backyard.

Little Things About Us

  • Kathleen has lived abroad for school or work in three other countries: France, China, and Greece.

  • Vince has completed a 24-hour obstacle course race where he ran 60 miles! Three months later, he completed a full IronMan race.

  • Kathleen loves languages and speaks some Spanish, some French, and a little Mandarin Chinese.

  • Vince learned wood-working from his grandpa and loves to build furniture and create art pieces.

  • We try to go to the beach at least once a month to walk on the sand, play, and watch the surfers.

  • Our favorite weekly traditions are Pizza and Movie Fridays and cartoons on the couch on Saturday mornings.

Thank you!

We want to thank you once again for taking the time to get to know us and considering us as part of your journey. The weight of your decision is not lost on us, and we deeply admire your strength and love for your child.

If you choose adoption and invite us to join you in loving this child, we will honor you in our home and lives as their Birth Mama—a title that carries profound respect and gratitude. We will ensure that your love and courage are always celebrated, and we will nurture a connection to your story with pride and care.

To us, it has never been about how our family grows, whether through birth or adoption. What matters most is that our children know they are loved beyond measure, supported unconditionally, and cherished for who they are.

Thank you for considering us in this important decision. You remain in our thoughts and hearts as you navigate this path with so much grace and love.
