Hello! We are Jon and Amanda

We are so thankful that you are considering our family as a possible adoptive family for your child. We are beyond excited to become parents through adoption and to welcome a child into, not only our immediate family, but the loving and supportive community around us! Know that we have been praying for both you and your child and will continue to do so daily. Above anything else, we believe that you are brave and wise and you alone are able to make this decision for your child.

If you do choose us as adoptive parents, we will love your child and support them every step of the way. The opportunity to be their adoptive parents will be our daily gift and delight.

About Us

Jon and Amanda met in Architecture school 12 years ago and became quick friends. After a few years of friendship realized that we fell in love and decided to live the rest of our lives together. We have been married almost 8 years now and are so grateful for the ways that God has grown our marriage and love for each other, our community and deepened or faith. We have supported one another through graduate school and pursuing our careers as architects.

We have also made a great team in parenting 6 foster children in the last 5 years! We love children and have been humbled and honored through our desire to serve kiddos in hard places.We are excited to be welcoming Rico, our foster son of 3 years, into our family through adoption in the coming months!

We love being involved in our diverse and exciting community, our church that feels like family and in our extended family that are our best friends and support system. We love working hard, being active, spending time outdoors and going on new adventures.

Home and Family

We have a cozy house in a diverse city.

We have a good size back yard where we spend most of our time with our easy going, playful dog and curious chickens. We love renovating up our 100 year old home with house and yard projects. When we are not relaxing at home we are often found walking downtown or to local parks. We also enjoy taking trips to the nearby beach or camping and hiking at state parks. We live close to both of our extended families with lots of fun family gatherings. Jon has 4 brothers and 1 sister with 12 nieces and nephews and Amanda has 1 sister and two brothers with 3 nieces and nephews. Our families are our strong and supportive foundation and we spend as much time with them as we can.

Things that make us happy

• Jon loves playing soccer, playing board games, and watching football.

• Amanda loves running, arts and crafts, and gardening.

• We both love to take walks and drawing and painting together.

Things we will teach your child

• We will teach your child to be adventurous! We love to travel and explore both locally and abroad. The world is so full of new things to learn.

• We will teach your child to work hard for what they want. One of the best gifts in life is the ability to accomplish what you put your mind to. We will be there to support them in any dream they have.

• We will teach your child about Jesus and how much he loves your child. Being Christians to us means forgiveness, honesty and faithfulness.
