Hi there! We are Bryce & Johnna!

We would like to start by telling you how grateful we are to have you viewing our profile. Although we haven't met you yet, we want you to know that we admire you so much for the decision you are making. Adoption brought us our son, Caleb, and we now share a semi-open relationship with his first parents based on their wishes. We are excited to hopefully welcome another child through adoption and are committed to including you in your child's life as much as you desire.

We hope you connect with us through these photos and that it gives you a good snapshot of our family. We are spirited, goofy, and part of a very large and joyful extended family that can't wait to share in the joy that your child's life will be.

About Us

Our story began in college where we met living in the same dorm. Bryce was there to play college football and Johnna was busy with her nursing clinicals. We were married a couple of years after graduation and welcomed our first son, Peter, in 2016. Unfortunately, our hopes for growing our family changed after many years of infertility and heartache. Our hearts were then healed when we met Caleb and held him in our arms for the first time. With tears in our eyes, we looked at each other and knew how blessed we were to be chosen by his parents.

As a family we love to be active outside and host lots of gatherings with family and friends. We attend church every Sunday and are part of a prayer group that includes three other families that have grown through adoption!

Family and community are incredibly important and have been a huge support to us throughout our adoption journey.

Home sweet home!

We live in a small town in Washington near a large city.

Bryce grew up here playing sports, riding his bike all over, and playing with friends at the park. Our home is in a wonderful neighborhood with many other families from school nearby. On any given night you will find kids riding bikes, playing basketball in front of their homes, and neighbors chatting with each other.

Our home has 4 bedrooms and a great main living space. We love entertaining and hosting large gatherings! When you step inside you'll likely hear music playing. There is a cozy, warm feel and the air is filled with whatever home cooked meal Johnna is making in the kitchen. In the backyard, the playhouse is usually full of kids and there are toys all over the yard. In the summertime you have to watch your back as they go crazy with water and nerf gun fights!

Favorite family traditions

• We have large family gatherings for Christmas and holidays. There are so many cousins that love to run around and play together!

• We love Fourth of July fireworks out at Bryce’s family beach home

• We enjoy summer Sunday night dinners at the beach

• We read books at bedtime every night

• The boys rough-house with dad after dinner

• We love birthday parties! It's always so fun to see what our son will choose as his next party theme

• We love summer road trips to Idaho and Montana to see Johnna's family

• We spend summers on Flathead Lake at Johnna's dad's house

• We love fishing the river on Johnna's dad's ranch in Montana

• We enjoy awesome annual summer trips to lakes and mountains with Bryce's family

• When it's football season, there is always a game on Thursday through Sunday and we usually cook up a big meal for friends and family. The more the merrier!

• We have chili on Halloween followed by trick or treating with the many families in our neighborhood

Things that make us happy

• Summers at the beach looking for crabs and sand dollars

• Hosting a meal at our home with friends and family

• Traveling and exploring new places

• Throwing the football at the park

• Playing guitar in the living room

• Jamming out to the Beatles

• Being active outside with our big puppy dog, Tucker!

• Golfing as a family
