Avery and Ricardo

Hi! We are Avery and Ricardo

We'd like to extend our sincerest thank you for opening your hearts to hearing our story and considering us as potential parents for your precious child.

Adoption is the most selfless act of love there is and maybe one of the most challenging and courageous decisions you'll ever make. We cannot imagine the tough decisions and emotional challenges you are facing, and we pray continually for you and your child, as we hope to be able to support you through the adoption process.

We love the life we have built in central Texas and are excited to have the opportunity to share it with a child in the future. We are beyond grateful to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. We can’t say thank you enough because without the gift of adoption our dreams of becoming parents would never come true. We have so much love to give, and please know we promise to always support, protect, nurture, and love your child unconditionally.

Our Story

Our story began one spring when we were both working for a pediatric therapy clinic in different departments.

Our bond started over mutual patients and quickly bloomed over a summer filled with some of our favorite things, live music, floating the river, going to the gym, and cooking at home. We dated for just over a year before getting engaged, in the act of surprises we got engaged on a random Tuesday night in the comfort of our own home. Due to the 2020 pandemic our wedding day had numerous reschedules, but it was truly the best day as we got married on a family property in the butterfly garden.

In our free time we love to explore our city, spend game nights with friends, and spend family time with our dogs. We are just as happy watching a movie on the couch as we are out shopping at the farmer's market or spending an evening listening to music.

We are truly each other's best friends and always support each other through our victories and challenges. After experiencing infertility, we felt we had always been pulled towards adoption from the beginning as adoption had always been apart of our family plan. We are looking forward to where this adoption journey takes us.

Home and Family

We have a two-story home with 3 bedrooms. We have a downstairs study and upstairs loft that we hope to turn into a kid’s playroom. Outside we have a patio and three trees with plenty of room for children to run and play. We live on the corner of our street, so we have extra outdoor space to enjoy as well.

We love our home and neighborhood as it is very kid friendly! Our neighborhood is very involved in community events: we have Christmas and 4th of July parades, pumpkin carving contests, cookout contests, and a local food truck to enjoy every Thursday night. Some of the amenities include a neighborhood pool and playground. In our community we have summer concerts, a winter festival, a town lake, and a downtown area lined with local shops and restaurants. We truly have the best of both worlds with being able to provide a child with big city experiences while also fostering a small community feeling to discover and develop their interests.

Our friends and family mean the world to us and we have built a strong, supportive community to raise a child. On the weeknights we enjoy spending quality time together cooking and playing with our dogs, while on the weekends we spend time with friends at parks, doing game nights, and having themed dinners.

Both of our families are super close and we know will be an integral part of any future child's life.
